Growing up in New England, I was privileged to eat a lot of lobster. As a child, I remember going with my aunt to the store to pick out live lobster. My aunt would put the lobster in the back of her station wagon and my cousins and I would peek over the seat and watch the lobsters trying to get out the bag. Once we got the lobster home, my aunt would put them in a large pot and steam them. I remember clearly sitting at her table and dancing around as the lobster squealed in the background. They were crying out in pain, but I was excited because I knew I was getting ready to eat some yummy meat.
Lobster has since become one of my favorite foods, so much so that I’ve given it a pet name: Lobby the Lobster. I love eating him and his family members so much. If you follow me on social media, then you know I am excited because TODAY is National Lobster Day. Whoop whoop. So like I do for other food holidays, I’m sharing some of my favorite lobster recipes. If I wasn’t working tonight, I would definitely make it to some restaurant to celebrate. Since I can’t, here’s ways that you can.
