It’s been three weeks since I started my new job and the adjustment has been hard (hence the silence on the blog). My new office is farther away from home and a lot smaller. I was spoiled by my last company with free coffee, drinks and snacks and other benefits. I still haven’t found the regular coffee at my new job. The office consist of 13 people and is so quiet; you can hear a pin drop. So now I’ve brought in my own snacks, coffee and office supplies. Spotify is constantly playing as well to drown out the quiet.
My new work schedule also requires me to wake up earlier and leave the house before 7 a.m. My energy level has been so low and I feel drained all week. I decided to do some research because I couldn’t understand why I would feel so drained after a full night’s rest. I realized that due to my iron-deficiency anemia, I probably need to start taking iron pills again. I’ve also added a mulit-vitamin and B-12 gummies to my morning regimen, so I hope they work and give me an energy boost.
