Happy Monday. Can you believe that the summer is almost officially over? I feel like last week and practically the whole month of August flew by. I can’t believe tomorrow is September 1st. I am not ready for September or for fall for that matter to come yet. And there are only 4 more months of 2015. Eek!
I had a great weekend. Went to see the Washington Nationals play on Thursday and then again yesterday. And they won both games. Saturday after I worked at my part-time job, I went grocery shopping and then came home to meal prep since I knew the game would take up most of my Sunday. I made some really great recipes this weekend and will be sharing them this week. I made Italian Stuffed Burgers with spinach, mozzarella and tomatoes, Saltine Toffee which is made with saltine crackers and a vegetable torte that I saw on Instagram. All the recipes were great and of course I tweaked them a little, so I can’t wait to share them with you.
However, I actually failed at one of my planning tips yesterday. If you’re a regular reader, you haven’t seen any of my gym stories because I took a break from the gym. That short break turned into two month hiatus. So I made a decision that this week, I would start back on my workout routine and get back in the gym 3-4 times a week. But, I didn’t set out my gym clothes and headphones last night. I wake up this morning at 5:15, go to the bathroom and realize I’m not prepared for the gym. What do I do? Get right back in bed, set my alarm for 6:30. Major fail. Preparation is key in everything I do.
Did you the tips I shared last week on How to Prep for a Better Monday? If so, please let me know how your week went. Or how your week goes today…
Here’s a little motivation to get your week started.
In life there will always be haters. Or just people who think that you can’t accomplish what you say you will. So..
Sometimes the easiest solution isn’t the best solution. Take every opportunity to stretch yourself and learn something new. Challenges aren’t always a bad thing, you just have to change the way you look at them. Take it as a chance to expand yourself and your skill set.
I’m all about passion. Whatever I am devoting the most energy to, I must be passionate about.
