I know I’ve been quiet for the past couple weeks. The truth is I was feeling a little burnt out, a little discouraged and a little frustrated. Sometimes the motivator needs motivation themselves. Sometimes the fulfillment of your dreams is so close that it can be scary and the resistance that you face in life may not be from other people ,but from yourself. It could be internal resistance – you vs. yourself.
I’ve been working on my new business and keeping it well under wraps. Closing one business and preparing to open another has been a scary process for me. This new baby means everything to me and as much as I am excited about the products I’m creating, I’ve been scared to share it with the world. But nothing will ever be perfect, so in the next few weeks I’ll be sharing more about the business. In the meantime, you can check it out the Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.
During my absence, I pretty much ignored most of my Facebook groups and all blog stats. Worked on designs for the new business and let my creative juices flow. I only checked my blog email a few times during the week. And the most surprising thing is that while I was feeling down about blogging and my exposure, I was offered some really cool opportunities by well-known companies. So my message today is quick and simple, just when you think you can’t go any longer, take a few more steps.
I’m sure we’ve all seen the picture below, but you will never know how true it really is if you stop.
Take a break if you have to, but “Don’t stop! Get it! Get it!”
P.S. During my break, I did lots of cooking and testing out recipes to share. I made a Garlic Mushroom Quinoa, Creamy White Chicken Chili and Zuppa Tuscana soup. Recipes will be coming as soon as I can get them all typed out.
And the Motivation Monday Pep Rally will be back next week. So get your pom poms and posts ready.
