I woke up this morning with a headache and did NOT want to get out the bed. Yesterday I had a cookout with some friends and made chili lime kabobs. They were so good.
So, last week Groupon had a deal for 50% off The Rave Run in DC. Remember the Rave Runis the 5K that I wanted to run. At that time, I still had not registered and figured this Groupon deal was a sign/push for me to go ahead and register and I did it.
As of this coming Wednesday, the run will be on month away, so I really need to get back to my training. I woke up this morning to run but could NOT get out the bed. Tomorrow’s another day. Now that my registration is official, I feel extra pressure to complete my 5K training. And truth be told, I’m probably putting more pressure on myself than needed since this is a run, not a race. It’s supposed to be a fun run, but since it’s my first 5K, I don’t want to get out there and look like a wimp.
Sometimes I feel like the picture below, but I always end up feeling good after I go for a run.
Tonight, I have two hours of Zumba and then another two hours on Wednesday, but for the rest of the week my goal is to wake up every morning, GET OUT OF BED and go for a run.
