It’s hard to believe that we’re in the middle of June already. This year has flown by and I have a feeling summer will be the same. Since today is the first official day of summer, I am sharing my annual summer bucket list.
Finally eating a lobster roll.
Every summer I go home with a plan to try a lobster roll and every summer, I end up with a whole lobster instead. #notThisSummer
Spend at least one day at the beach with my girls during the summer months.
June’s beach day happened a couple of weeks ago and July’s is scheduled!
Attend a Baltimore Orioles game.
I love cheering on the Nationals, but with the Orioles also in the area, I need to check out one of their games.
Make Vietnamese spring rolls.
I had this on my list last year but didn’t get a chance to do it. So I’m trying again this year.
Finish creating the perfect summer road trip playlist.
I’ll take any suggestions below. Seriously leave me your favorite road trip songs in the comments.
Make boozy fruit kabobs for the beach.
Because who doesn’t want to eat spiked fruit at the beach?
Attend Jazz in the Gardens at the Sculpture Gardens.
This is on my list every year, but hopefully, I can actually cross it off this time.
Check out the Hive at the National Building Museum.
It’s part of their Summer Block Party series that they do every year.
Go to the Maryland State Fair.
It’s been several years since I’ve been to the Maryland State Fair. Maybe I can get my girls, The District Queens, to come with me.
Start a patio garden.
Last year I tried to grow a couple things and because I traveled so much, my plants died. This year I am going to try it again thanks to Pinterest. I like these post, How to Use a Shower Caddy as a Vertical Planner and 10 Inspiring Container Gardens.
Visit a new farmers market each month.
Make some boozy popsicles.
This raspberry peach bellini popsicle recipe sounds good.
Go to an outdoor movie.
DC, Maryland and Virginia have sooooooooo many options for outdoor movies. And to make sure I take advantage of them, I’ve made arrangements with a few friends.
So what do you have on your summer bucket list?
And don’t forget to leave me any road trip playlist suggestions.
