Happy Monday. I hope you had a great weekend. I finally got to check out a newer restaurant in DC that I’ve been hearing good things about. I’ll be sharing my restaurant review later this week. My other plans for the weekend was to catch up on some sleep and work out a couple times. I got one workout in of 3.1 miles. YAY YAY! I went to a ladies night one of my good friend’s had Saturday evening and then Sunday came.
Sunday morning I received the sad news that my oldest cousin, who is only 3 years older than me, was being taken off life support. She’s been in a coma for weeks now and her condition has only gotten worse, so her oldest daughter, only 20, had to make the difficult decision to remove her mom from life support. So instead of today being Monday Motivation, it’s more like Meditation Monday.
Death always makes me meditate on the value of life. Reminiscing about the old times and the fun memories, often wishing I had more time with that person.
So today I’ll be quick. My message today is to cherish the time you have with your loved ones because tomorrow is not promised. Don’t put off something for tomorrow, which you can do today. Live now because you never know what the next day holds.
We can never get back time. So use the time we have wisely.
My favorite message:
So make this week great! Call a friend or family member you haven’t spoken to recently and tell them how much you care.
