My 9-5 offers some really great perks – one of them being a free personal trainer. I’ve worked here for over a year and a half and I’ve never taken advantage of it. Until this week. I’ve been watching the scale fluctuate too much over the past few months and have decided to just bite the bullet and get some professional assistance. I was actually excited about the idea of prepping a gym bag because I’ve never had to do it before. Whenever I’ve worked out at my local gym, I usually just take my keys, water, and my phone into the gym with me. And since I live so close to the gym, it’s easy for me to run home, shower, change and go wherever I need to be. But now that I’m changing up my workout schedule and packing a bag, I’m sharing in my gym bag and what I want to get for my gym bag:
DOVE spray deodorant
I’ve been wanting to try this spray deodorant for a while and Target recently had them on sale, so I picked up a can.
S’Well Water bottle
The bottle doesn’t sweat and keeps the water cold for 24 hours.
Old Navy used to sell really good active socks, but I haven’t seen any recently. If your feet sweat easily like mine, active socks are good for helping keep your feet cool and breathable in sneakers.
I really like Old Navy High Support Sports bras because since I have a plentiful chest, these sports bras have great padding and support. If you’re looking for a cheaper option, I’ve found that the Danskin Now High Impact Sport Bra works just as well. #DontSleeponWalmart
I like my tights to have a drawstring in them, so I have that added assurance that they won’t slip down my waist. I bought some from Acics and the New Balance outlet, similar to these and these.
After sweating, I usually need to touch up my powder foundation, so I keep a travel size compact with me.
For those times that I forget to put on lotion; can’t be ashy at the gym.
After an intense workout, I definitely need something to help my body recovery and assist with the soreness of my muscles. Eating a chew like these is much easier for me than drinking a recovery drink.
I also like to refresh my scent after working out.
Wants for my Gym Bag
To soak up the sweat and they are great for travel too. Right now I’m currently using a towel provided by the gym, which isn’t microfiber, so I need to step my towel game up.
There’s no time to take a shower while I’m at work, so cleansing cloths to the rescue. I’d really like to try the Ban Total Refresh Cooling Body Cloths. I also recently heard about the Yuni No-Rinse Body Cleansing Foam and Shower Sheets, so I might try those in the near future as well.
Do you include any of these items in your gym bag? What’s your gym bag essentials?
